So big!

Naomi has seemed to turn a corner this month. She seems like a lot more of a big girl then she did last month. She seems to cry a lot less and be generally happy more.  I've been wondering if it has something to do with her finally getting all those back teeth in but it could also have to do with the fact that she can walk around with falling all the time. Whatever the reason, I am loving it. She is starting to understand a lot of the things I say too. Yesterday I asked her where her shoes were and she went right to them and picked them up. It was so neat. She tries to talk a lot but a lot of her words sound the same.
I can usually tell what word she is trying to say by what she is point to or holding.
Right now, she has a strange liking for her bows and jackets. She is always saying "bow" in her sweet little high voice and pointing at the bows. She claps when I put it in and tell her it is so pretty but then she pulls it right out. She'll also get her jacket (which is generally laying on the floor somewhere) and give it to me to put on her. Funny kid.
She likes this giant bow a lot!

Also, you'll probably think I'm a loser after this post (if you didn't already) but I HAVE to tell you how excited I am about the great deals I got at garage sales this weekend. We got this little chair that Naomi and Red both love.

We also got two little slides for the backyard, a little tykes basketball goal, and a big wheel all for a total of 14 dollars. Not to mention lots of cute little clothes. These two were my favorite. A light grey coat from Gap for one dollar and you know I couldn't leave behind the jammies that say I love candy.

What a great weekend! And I'm thinking this week will be even better. Thursday, if all goes well, we will know if we're having a boy or a girl. I can't wait! Be checking facebook for the news. I probably won't get around to posting it on the blog till next Sunday.

  1. She is so big! Aunt Chrissie is so proud! Those outfit and jacket are so cute, and so you :-) I want to go yard sale shopping so bad. There were tons of them in Lincoln this past weekend but I was stuck working on homework (I guess that saved me money in the long run :-/). Hopefully I will be able to make it to some next week!

  2. I love those jammies...you'll need to let me know if you see any others for Norah (you know their mommies share a love of candy!) :)
So great that she is turning a corner for you. We don't seem to be there quite yet with Norah...lots of yelling and pointing. But with another one on the way I am so glad she is verbalizing more for you! When that new baby comes she will seem so big to you! It's amazing!
I can't wait to hear if it's a boy or girl. My vote is girl, but I would love another nephew as well! :)
