We are pretty stinkn' happy to have Leah around most days. She is walking real well now and trying hard to talk. Lots of times she will point to think and yell out something that I'm sure is supposed to be "what's that?" She also says mama, dada, all done, and duck, though none of these would be recognizable to the general public.
She takes one long afternoon nap now and sleeps 9 to 9 most nights. For some reason that I don't understand she loves to eat vegetables and will pick them out of a casserole like most of us pick the marshmallows out of lucky charms. She also loves raisins, pears, and oatmeal. To my shock and disbelief she is not really a fan of chocolate milk, brownies, or other sweets that I go nuts over. I'm sure her taste buds will mature soon and she will realize the amazingness of them soon. During her photo shoot I told her that most kids don't like peas or carrots at all. This was her reaction.
Lovin' this orange chair Jake painted for me!
Naomi was my assistant for Leah's pictures. I love that she can make Leah laugh so easily. These last three smiles were for her.
Last, but not least, I included a video of Leah and Naomi's kazoo duet. Warning: this would be one of those acts that seriously lacks any training and talent but just has so much good looks it just might make it anyway.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEAH!!! That's shocking about her not really liking sweets. It's understandable if one of the parents doesn't care for sweets, but when both of them would happily set up house in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, it's crazy that she prefers peas and carrots!! =)
ReplyDeletegreat pics! She's so sweet and adorable.
That video is hilarious! I love that Naomi looks at the way Leah is playing and totally changes to match. So funny!
ReplyDeleteLeah is just adorable!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are a very brave woman to give TWO of your children LOUD kazoos! Those are banned around here. :)
